Oklahoma Animal Shelter Seeks Aid in Repairing Wind Damage

The Bella SPCA Rescue Center in Logan County, Oklahoma is in need of help to fix wind damage that has restricted the animals from using its outdoor space. Manager Alicia Caravello Nusz said the outdoor space is necessary for the puppies to get used to their new environment. High winds caused damage to the fence, exposing nails and screws, and pushed a tree into the yard. Six puppies were recently surrendered to the shelter, and the outdoor space is needed to help them become more comfortable around other dogs. Nusz said, “We would like to be able to take them out for playtime. Show them we’re not as scary as they think we are.” The shelter is now asking for help to fix the damage and make the outdoor space safe for the puppies. Once the permanent fix happens, the shelter will be one step closer to finding the puppies’ new homes.
