Physical classes had just started across Oklahoma, but in less than a week into the school year, several school districts have decided to temporarily shift to distance learning due to the sudden increase of positive COVID-19 cases. Hulbert Middle School, Hulbert High School, and Battiest Public School are moving to virtual classes. Eagletown Public School has had to shut down for the remainder of the week. The Oklahoma Public School District also announced that they would strictly require mask-wearing to prevent a further surge.
