As part of its efforts in supporting the growth of the aerospace industry, Oklahoma State University has launched the Oklahoma Aerospace Institute for Research and Education (OAIRE) on Wednesday, August 18. OSU President Dr. Kayse Shum announced that the program aims to “drive cross-industry collaborations and innovation.” The aviation program of OSU has grown rapidly due to high demand in the industry. With the launch of the OAIRE, the university’s aerospace program for both undergraduates and professionals will be able to utilize more robust resources. The OSU aerospace program is the first in the state and one of the biggest in the nation, with current funding of over $80 million.
