Officials from the Oklahoma Department of Health reported earlier this week that 53.2 percent of eligible Oklahomans were completely vaccinated as of September 6th.
Over the weekend, Oklahoma City Mayor David Holt declared on social media that the city has achieved a significant milestone in COVID-19 immunizations.
According to Holt’s tweet, 75.2 percent of all Oklahoma County individuals who are eligible for the vaccination have gotten at least the first dose.
“This is higher than the national average of 73.7%,” Holt stated.
The mayor went on to urge individuals who have not yet been administered the COVID-19 vaccination to schedule an appointment online.
