COVID has changed the dynamics of the world. It has started a new battle in the countries. The new variants of the virus has intensified the situation. But not in Oklahoma anymore. Oklahoma has come a long way from the positives in the corona reports to the positive news of declining cases.
In an era where the deadly virus has taken the world by storm, the fortunate state of Oklahoma enjoys the decline in coronavirus cases. As per the Oklahoma Department of Health reports, the state has relished a decrease in corona cases by 40%, that too in just ten days. With the 133,175 active cases in January, the latest reports bring the value down to around 67,444 active cases on February 4.
Furthermore, the virus has a few positive impacts too. While the omicron has spread massive destruction, bringing back the days of isolation and lockdowns, the people of Oklahoma have developed natural immunity. The upsurge in the virus in January made most of the citizens sick, but the recovery of people from the virus was miraculous. It not just repurchased people to their lifestyle, with a greater focus on health and wellbeing, but also immunized them against future variants. While the deadly variant was playing its part in naturally immunizing the city, the readily available vaccinations were icing on the cake for the citizens.
Oklahoma made sure not to bring the variant back to the city. Thus, 95% of the older netizens received at least one vaccination dose. To take care of the younger generation, 83.3% of the people above 18 received at least one shot. The weekly Epidemiology and Surveillance Report announced these percentages, proudly illustrating the city’s success.
Hospitalization Cases Has Plummeted as the Corona Decreases
Good news comes with a series of consecutive wondrous news. As the corona cases in Oklahoma plummeted, the hospitalizations in the state declined, as stated by the Health Officials. The reports solidified the statements by stating the drop in the hospitalization numbers from 2000 to 1682 on February 1. The Interim State Health believed that the wind storm from Texas urged a plethora of citizens to stay at home, which ultimately caused a lockdown in the city. Although the Interim State Health called it an artificial decrease because of the weather, the natural immunity and the vaccinations have played their parts.
Nevertheless, the experts are still taking preventive measures and preaching to the people to do so. They strive to be vigilant to completely eradicate the virus from the state and bring a happy and prosperous life for people again. Thus, they pleaded for the people to wear masks and sanitizers until the virus vanishes. Dr. William, a disease specialist, further added that the hospitalization cases should descend more and in a sustainable manner so that the state can bring back the tranquility and contentment. The specialist and the experts aspire to bring sustainable change to the city.
